nero 7

I am running Vista. It was until now that I tried to copy a 4.7gb movie. I realized that there was no appropriate software installed on the PC that would let me do that, so I tried to install Nero. I first tried to install Nero 6, but there were compability issues, so I tried Nero 7, and it went further. Midways through the installation, an internal error occured. I don't want to install Roxio, because it takes a whole lot of space, and Nero doesn't as much. Can anyone help me?

I don't know. Maybe you should check with Nero to see if that program even works with Vista. I've been able to burn every kind of DVD no problem using the built-in stuff. Haven't installed any thrid-party programs at all (Roxio/Nero, etc).

So far Vista seems great except for one thing. I can't install Nero 7 ultra edition. I even got the blue screen of Death to come up trying. Now nero's installer package says it isnt compatible with Vista. Does anybody know if they are working on it? Will nero 6.6 work fine? Nero doesn't say a thing about it.

Currently Nero is not compatible with Vista. Ahead says they are working on an update. Hopefully it will be out soon.

Have NERO 7 on Beta Two and it seems to be working OK. Just smart start applet does not function for me with either Nero 7 or 6.6 - going directly into the Nero program works for burning. I have not tried to use any of the other features such as video or recoding.
